Getting there

sasMost Airline companies have regular direct flights to Copenhagen. The SAS Group is the Official Airline for this congress and offers you a special discount - read more.

It is easy to get from Copenhagen Airport to downtown Copenhagen, but note that you need to buy a ticket at the ticket boot in the airport terminal (or any kiosk) before boarding the Metro or train (otherwise you'll be charged extra).

Metro

Copenhagen MetroThe Metro runs directly from Copenhagen Airport to Nørreport Station in 10-15 minutes (please look for the "M") - click here to view route map. The Metro departs from the airport every 4-6 min. Information boards onboard announce the name of the station before each stop.

Train

DSBTrains depart from Copenhagen Airport Terminal 3 to Nørreport Station every 10-20 min. Nørreport Station is just after the central station ("København H") (4 stops, approx. 15 minutes) in the direction Copenhagen/Helsingør. Link to the Journey Planner.

Taxi

A taxi from the airport to most downtown hotels costs approx. 300 Danish Kroner (~40 €). A taxi from Nørreport Station to the H.C. Ørsted Institute costs approximately 100 Danish Kroner (~12-14 €).

Bus

MoviaThe venue, the H.C. Ørsted Institute, is situated in the northern campus area of the University of Copenhagen, and can easily be reached by bus, which stops within 2 minutes walking distance from the main entrance:
Bus line 42 from downtown (Nørreport Station)
Bus line 43 from downtown (Nørreport Station)
Bus line 150S from downtown (Nørreport Station)
Bus line 184 from downtown (Nørreport Station)

The bus stops at Nørreport Station are on the same center isle (between two roads) as the exits of the underground train station, but not necessarily right where you exit; you may need to cross a pedestrian crossing (ask if you don't see it). Nørreport Station is the end stop for these buses, so there is no question of direction. Ask the driver to drop you off at Universitetsparken. The H.C. Ørsted Institute is the big building across the street to your left. You can find a tourist guide from Movia here.

Tickets for Public Transportation

A blue travel card (valid for 10 trips within two zones) is provided with your conference bag. This has to be stamped before entering the train or in the bus entrance. Travel cards and tickets are valid for buses and trains (incl. the Metro).

There are three zones from Copenhagen Airport to downtown Copenhagen. Most hotels are only one zone away from the H.C. Ørsted Institute, but you cannot buy tickets for less than 2 zones.

If you want to visit some of Copenhagen's attractions you should consider a Copenhagen Card which entitles you to unlimited bus, metro and train travel and gives you discount or free entrance to many major attractions.

Please consult the tourist guide of Movia for more information about tickets and transport zones.
